I find it hilarious that after I wrote my last newsletter, “Consistency in 2022”, I skip a newsletter.
There isn’t a good reason. You show up. And I didn’t. My 2022 theme has crashed and burned!
I’ve resumed my copyediting coursework, and I am, at the time of you receiving this newsletter, starting my fourth week. You see, I made a wise decision to add a second copyediting class, which means I am taking two classes and working full time. It was after the first week—when the last issue of the newsletter was due—that I sat back, looking at my schedule, and utter the words of one great man: Gob Bluth.
I’ve made a huge mistake.
I truly underestimated the editing I would need to perform in both classes, along with the reading assignments and class discussions. What was I thinking? I was thinking that I wanted the classes to be over as quickly as possible. The good news is that one class completes near the end of February.
I just have to survive until then.
In Other News
Well, there actually isn’t any other news. My
Toggl timeline contains nothing but Productivity Lab and copyediting—and maybe some website updates I forgot to track ….
Don’t worry, I’ve been reading, doing yoga, watching anime, and playing video games to break away and rest the brain. Editing can be draining.
